Travel

Flights are available into Salt Lake City International Airport.

Sundance is about an hour drive from there. Note that since it's the middle of the winter, snow is possible. In particular, the last part of the drive is up a canyon, so it's imperative to have a 4WD car or contract a car service that has 4WD. Uber could be challenging if it's a storm.

Once at Sundance, the resort is walkable and a car service is available on call to provide transportation around the resort if needed. So a rental car isn’t needed once on site.

Recommended Transportation

VIP Executive Car Service

Howard: (801) 921-3642

We have engaged VIP Executive Car Service (owner Howard) for a group transportation rate of $159 / car each way (charged by the car, not by the passenger; they're SUVs so can fit multiple guests) from SLC to Sundance. Howard and his team will collect all flight info and will offer the option to combine with other guests. They will handle all flight delays and promised to get everyone up to the mountain!

Rental Cars

If you rent, AWD/4WD is very highly recommended/required given the potential for winter weather and the steepness of the canyon. SUVs currently being quoted at ~$225-$275 at various rental agencies for the weekend. We would recommend booking early because rates likely go up in the winter. Notably, if you do drive, be sure to go south through Salt Lake City and not up and around through Park City as the drive is easier.

The Sundance Resort concierge can also arrange airport transportation for you through Snow Country Limousine for $280 each-way.

Uber/Lyft

  • While they are available from the SLC airport, be very careful. With any inclement weather these cars can be very unreliable (as not all have 4WD) and pricey!

Canyon Transportation

Utah Mountain Shuttle

  • $248 each way
