Things to Do in (and around) Bretton Woods
Hiking / Walking
The White Mountains are known for their best in class hiking and the Presidential Traverse is part of the Appalachian Trail. We will likely be picking one of the Presidentials to hike at some point while we are up there and we encourage people to get out and explore the mountains!
There is also a walking trail network surrounding the resort to take in the splendor of the surroundings.
All hikes / walks are dog friendly! But be mindful of the difficult terrain.
Mt. Washington
Hiking up the 4,000 ft up to the top of Mt. Washington is extremely challenging. If you would like to still experience the top of New England, you can also summit via car or by riding the Cog Railway. Note that you will need to purchase tickets in advance for the Railway but no reservations are required for cars (ticket purchase required at toll booth).
Swimming Holes
There are fun swimming holes in the Ammonoosuc River accessible from Base Station Road within 15 minutes of Bretton Woods accommodations. We love taking a dip after exercise! Reach out and ask if interested and we can help you find one :)
Golf
Omni Mount Washington Resort & Spa has an award-winning 18-hole and 9-hole championship golf course. Tee time reservations required.
Spa
The Omni Mount Washington Resort has a 25,000-square-foot spa surrounded by magnificent mountain views. Advance reservation for day passes and treatments required.
